Working Safely during COVID-19
We are open for business and operating with COVID-19 precautions in place in line with UK government recommendations.

Whilst carrying out work our engineers are also taking the following additional precautions:
- Site / Client specific risk assessment carried out prior to work
- Hand sanitiser provided and used by all staff before entering premises
- Social distancing - minimising close personal contact where possible
- Maintaining good ventilation of our work areas
- Wearing PPE where appropriate
- Wipe down the areas worked on with anti-bacterial cleaner after completion of work.
If you have any concerns about having our engineers carry out work during the COVID 19 pandemic, please call us to discuss the safety measures we will put in place. As qualified electricians, safety is our priority in all respects and our team are trained in risk assessment and are used to wearing extensive PPE in normal times when necessary for other hazards.

At Matt Browning Electrical, our experienced electricians can upgrade old fluorescent lighting in nurseries, schools, colleges, and universities with the latest LED lighting technology - not only improving lighting performance and reducing future maintenance costs, but also delivering significant cost reductions through reduced energy consumption. We were recently asked to upgrade the old fluorescent lighting in classroom and corridor areas in this school building. Our complimentary site survey found many of the fluorescent tubes and control-gear components had failed, and with fluorescent lighting technology being phased out for environmental and energy saving reasons, we provided a fixed price quote for an LED lighting upgrade. We supplied & installed LED lighting from Ansell and low glare lighting from Ovia in classroom areas. With automatic control through occupancy sensors and dimmable controls for the classroom, performance has improved whilst energy costs have reduced.
