Another Hypervolt EV Charger installed in Wokingham, Berkshire.

Surveyed last week, one of our engineers was on site this week to install a home charging solution for our clients BMW i3.


The Hypervolt 3.0 is a 7kW home charger with a tethered 7.5m cable to reach the car in several parking spaces. Our straightforward installation service was completed in one morning and included a separate EV consumer unit providing surge protection and double pole RCD safety protection for the EV charge point. We installed automatic load management which monitors the total electrical demand of the house and reduces the charging rate if required to avoid overloading the main fuse, making the Hypervolt car charger suitable for all domestic electrical supplies.


The Hypervolt charge point is simple to use – just plug into the car and charging starts automatically. A convenient app offers further control functions and charge monitoring from your phone. With a 7kW output the Hypervolt will fully charge most vehicles at home overnight.

Our complimentary site survey found many of the fluorescent tubes and control-gear components had failed, and with fluorescent lighting technology being phased out for environmental and energy saving reasons, we provided a fixed price quote for an LED lighting upgrade. We supplied & installed LED lighting from Ansell and low glare lighting from Ovia in classroom areas. With automatic control through occupancy sensors and dimmable controls for the classroom, performance has improved whilst energy costs have reduced.
